My Dear Friend Chuck Riechert

Sad Note:

Chuck Riechert my dear friend for the last 23 years and my West Coast Distributor passed away April 9th, 2012 due to complications from Asbestos exposure. Chuck and I talked every few days concerning Spa-Salon Manager projects, family and technology in general.

Chuck and I met after the earthquake in 1989 in California where he owned a salon in Mill Valley that was using the Salon Manager.  After becoming my West Coast distributor, he successfully set up salons on the West Coast in California, Oregon and Washington. Chuck had quit doing customer support many years ago due to other health issues.  In recent years, he became a mentor to me as he was always available to listen to my next ‘great’ idea.  His greatest concern was always to keep it simple and make sure any enhancements benefited the customer.

Chuck will always be with me in my memory.

  1. Chuck “my dear old dad” will always be in our memory. He inspired so many. He used to always tell me no matter what never burn bridges, enjoy life and always keep it simple. Kent, I know that he was a great bridge for you. He helped bridge your client and your intellect. Your company not only understands your client but also understands how technology can help your client become more successful. You both were an amazing team together. I know the future will hold great success for you but also in his honor.

  2. Dear Kent-

Just wanted to take a moment and recognize your post of Chucks passing. I too had the opportunity / pleasure of talking with Chuck back in the early days. He was an absolute pleasure to speak with and was most helpful every time I needed his assistance. I am very sorry to hear he was sick and succumbed to his illness. He is and will continue to be missed. He was an absolute Gem of a person. True caring customer service is very hard to find let alone teach these days and Chuck exemplified this with ease. Every time I spoke with Chuck, he not only was able to help, but his genuine caring about what you were discussing with him was very apparent. He was always jovial and warm and you could tell he was not going to stop until your needs were met.. I truly enjoyed every conversation with him as well and am saddened that I will no longer be able to hear his voice, although my memory allows me to hear him, at this very moment. May he rest in peace and comfort.

Please accept my personal and deepest sympathies for “our” loss. And please pass these most sincere sentiments along to his family and all who knew and loved Chuck.

    All my best,

    Steve Bachner
